Caressa Cameron
- She appeared on numerous television programs, made corporate appearances, and spoke on behalf of the Miss America Organization's national platform, the Children's Miracle Network, and her personal platform, Real Talk: AIDS in America.
- She is the Coordinator of Youth Services for the Fighting the AIDS Crisis with Education and Support (FACES) Project and she served on the steering team which brought the Ora-Sure HIV (Oral) Antibody Test to the State of Virginia.
- Caressa is fulfilling her degree requirements at Virginia Commonwealth University in broadcast communications. She hopes to pursue a Masters degree in mass communications and to become a leading anchor in television news.

- she became the youngest woman to wear the crown in over 70 years and the very first Miss Nebraska to become Miss America
- Teresa worked to promote the Miss America Organization and the scholarships it provides, the national platform of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, and her personal platform on eating disorders, as well as serving our nation's military and working with the USO and being an advocate for agriculture and working with The Hand That Feeds U.S. Additionally, she spent time as a spokesperson and advocate for many other organizations and causes including the Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, Youth Service America, the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders, the Taste of the NFL, Keep America Beautiful, Produce for Kids, Special Olympics, and more.
- She is set to attend Patrick Henry College in Purcellville, Virginia in August of 2012 and plans on majoring in government and then attending Harvard Law to become a criminal prosecutor. Hoping to become a judge and eventually be involved in the political arena, her highest career goals are to become President or a Supreme Court Justice. As a Christian in the political arena, she hopes to break down the stereotype of crooked and dishonest politicians, operating instead under character and integrity.

- The Miss America Organization's national platform, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and her personal platform, Advocating for Children of Incarcerated Parents. In addition, Laura supports the military and The USO and recently was named by US News and World Report, one of The Top 100 Women leaders in STEM. Laura has worked with numerous organizations that advocate for Children of Incarcerated Parents that include: The US Dream Academy, Project Avery, Operation Open Arms, The Seedling Foundation, Prison Fellowship Ministries, Kon-necting Services, The American Correctional Association, Camp Bob and Big Brothers Big Sisters. Laura has received The Courage Award from The Care Plus Foundation as well as The Thomas Mott Osborne Medal from The Osbourne Association.
- Laura graduated with a bachelor's degree in Music and an emphasis in Vocal Performance at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She continues to travel as a performer and spokesperson for mentoring programs that advocate for at-risk youth. Laura plans to use her $50,000 scholarship from The Miss America Organization to attend law school with hopes to pursue a career in child advocacy.
